Welcome to fifth grade. I am so excited to begin our new school year together. My name is Jerri Harrison and this is my second year at Val Vista Academy. Some of you may know me, as I taught third grade at VVA last year. I have been teaching for about 18 years and have taught students in first through sixth grades.
I want to tell you a bit about myself. I was born and raised in a small town of Carpentersville, Illinois. There were six children in our family, so we kept our parents very busy. I have two married daughters, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, so now I am the one that is busy, but I love spending time with my family. I have lived in Arizona for about 35 years, so this is my home.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, from Ottawa University, and graduated Cum Laude. The honor I received is something I am very proud to have earned. My Master’s Degree is in Education, with emphasis in Counseling, which I earned from Northern Arizona University. Go Lumberjacks!
